the cost of cholera

The uber-expensive flouride-flavoured dukoral ended up on the kitchen counter….we could have bought a cart load of groceries instead. Let’s just hope Rachel got enough of those weakened cholera cells to heighten her immunity. Though it was an accident, I reminded her that we are trying to keep her healthy, so she returns with us to Canada. Her astute observation: Well if you want to keep us from getting those sicknesses, we should just not go there and maybe go to some other part of Canada. True enough.

Searching for deflatable soccer balls…Sport Chek looked at me cross-eyed. Why would I want to deflate a soccer ball? To put it in my suitcase of course. There’s a lot of kids in Africa!
