I would have thought that moving nineteen times before I was twenty would inhibit my desire to uproot and travel, but there ain’t no greater love than to see new things and meet new people.
In eighteen years of marriage, we’ve moved across Canada, and back, and even up to the Arctic. In seven years, we’ve taken volunteer trips to Africa twice, and wandered through a half dozen European countries, with a whole bunch of exploring around our Canadian and American backyards.
They say it’s tough to travel with four children. “They” would be right. But no better way to enjoy them, than in the snug confines of a tiny room with a backpack on our backs, minus the Legos, workbooks and Netflix. Carpe diem!
